Zeppelin LZ-126 over the Brandenburger Tor, 1924
Built in 1923-24 at the Zeppelin works in Friedrichshafen, Germany for the U.S. Navy, as war-debt compensation, it was the world’s largest aircraft when first flown.
Commissioned LOS ANGELES (ZR-3) on 25 November 1924.
