Somewhere in N. Germany
Sabine and I had a few snacks that we had picked up and needed a nice rest spot to chow down. As we’re whipping past fields of wheat for kilometers at a time, I spot a side road. We pull in and luckily it threads through two fields, past a barn. We park das auto and find a rock just beside a wheat field where we settle in to our little feast. The dirt road we drove down was clearly not heavily used. We can see a few marks made by tractors maybe a few days ago. The mud has now dried and nobody has since pressed the soil back into the earth.
